Welcome to MDG Burn Recovery

Donation Information

On July 14, 2005 Michael was involved in an accident through which he has sustained second and third degree burns over 45% of his body including both of his arms, both hands and feet. With over 9 skin grafting surgeries behind him, he still faces many challenges ahead financially and physically. His last major surgery could be done by late December or early January. We'll keep you posted, on the Updates page.

Michael's at home now and visits the University of Utah Hospital's Intermountain Burn Center for physical therapy daily, or every other day as his progress is going well. His full recovery, however is expected to last a minimum of 6 to 9 more months, including but not limited to: rehabilitation, wound care, occupational and physical therapy. Even after this recovery his life will never be the same. This recovery process will be made much easier for him financially by your gift however big or small, and we truly thank you with every fiber of our being.

We have set up a recovery account for Michael to aid his financial needs throughout this ordeal. All donations and every bit thereof, will aid Michael's recovery and ongoing care and financial needs over the course of the year(s) to come. These funds will be held in Trust so that they may provide assistance above and beyond disability and MedicAid benefits. The outpouring of support has been wonderful, but it's a long road ahead for him physically and financially as he'll be unable to work for the greater part of his recovery. Any amount will help and we sincerely appreciate your willingness to give to such a worthwhile cause, our brudda.

Cash is gladly accepted, and checks or money orders may be made payable to Michael Goodrich Special Needs Trust and sent to 6281 De Camp Dr. La Mesa, CA 91942. Or you can click below to offer a donation by Credit Card via PayPal. All transactions are encrypted and secure and it only takes a few minutes. You may use a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or PayPal account. Thank you.
